A day-trip by dhow boat from Stone Town to the Nakupenda sandbank off the west coast of Zanzibar's Unguja island. The sandbank appears at low tide, surrounded by turquoise Indian Ocean water. The trip typically includes snorkelling on nearby reefs and a fresh seafood lunch. Best months: June to October and December to February.
